Still Killing Dogs for Food
In the Phillipines they are still killing dogs for food. The way they kill the dogs is the most horrific part! They cut off their arms legs and tails, burn off their fur and leave the dead bodies on top of the cages of the live dogs which are kept without food or water. If they decide to sell them alive then they mussel them using a tin can, tie their front legs together behind their backs(which obviously would hurt), and leave them at the side of the road until someone takes pity on the poor dog and buys it.

We are still not quite sure if this site is the truth or not but they put 1 week old kittens in jars and leave them in them until they are fully grown(they feed them through tubes). This they say is to get the perfect look. Tail Docking
What's the point? It is not fashionable and it does not prevent problems later on in life. If it is just a pet then what's the difference between having a German Shepherd to a Dobermann. One has got a tail, one hasn't. WHY? There is no need.
I had an arguement with a dobberman breeder the other day and he said that his friend's dog had it's tail seriously hurt when crawling through some undergrowth and it could have been avoided if the tail had been docked. I think it's o.k. if your dog is an auctual working dog and it could get it's tail damaged but other than that I don't think tail docking should be done for cosmetic reasons.
